I was proud to have been invited to this worldwide tour, by Kayley van der Velde, and her team. Upon arriving at the Bloomsbury Hotel, London, I grabbed a cup of coffee and a Danish, whilst speaking to other attendees prior to the day officially starting.
A range of guest speakers, and table-based networking sessions, kept us busy throughout the day. Lovely to see that Charles Leon, last year’s president of the BIID, won the top award of the Creative Spark for his project, Sheraton Skyline.
I found Caroline List’s presentation after lunch to be incredibly informative, with plenty of facts and figures to keep me awake after the break. She covered the current hotel construction pipeline in Europe, which I found particularly interesting due to my other business, alongside Nicholas Sunderland, Two’s Company.
